Turnaround Times

Our standard production schedule is 12 to 15+ business days upon receipt of the purchase order, approved art file, and merchandise. Any delay in art, merchandise, or approval will cause delays in the final in-hands date. Guaranteed Delivery Dates are available upon art approval and receiving of merchandise; 1 – 3 days add 100%, 3 – 5 days add 50%, and 5 – 7 days add 35%.

The following items will be subject to a longer turnaround time past our standard turnaround terms:

Terms

Any approved order received after 12 P.M. EST enters the production schedule on the following business day. Each decoration job must be accompanied by separate purchase order and shipped under separate purchase order numbers. All goods must be in-house two business days prior to the scheduled production date to avoid delays.

Artwork

We require vector files for print-ready artwork, preferably Adobe Illustrator or a vector .PDF file. Any raster images submitted must be 300 dpi and may be subject to a file handling fee. When submitting print ready vector files please be sure to outline fonts and embed images rather than linking them. Free Pantone matching is available within 90% variance. Art proofs are normally received within two business days of purchase order submission. Any errors in design are the sole responsibility of the customer and will be printed exactly as approved.

Art Approval | Order Proofing

All artwork is to be approved via a digital mock-up through email. Artwork must be checked for spelling, color, sizes ordered, placement of the art and accuracy of artwork by the customer. It is very important to look over every detail of the mockup, as this is how your garments will print. My Smart Shirt will not accept responsibility for corrections not implemented and/or requested after artwork approval. Any modifications requested after customer approval will result in production delays and could require additional expenses. Any delays in the approval process longer than 24 hours after receipt of the mockup could result in production delays.

Screens

Screens each print one color of your design. If you have a three-color design you are paying for three screens. A fourth white layer screen may be added if you are printing on dark fabrics. If you wish to print the same design but a different size for different goods then new screens must be burned for printing.

Specific Measurements When Printing (Imprint Tolerance)

Even though My Smart Shirt has years of experience in the industry, due to the nature of custom garment printing and other soft material, there is no way to effectively and efficiently measure the distance from the collar on each shirt as each garment is loaded onto the press by hand. For example, if you request a print that is 2” down from the collar, we will use that as a guide and do our best to make sure that all shirts hit that target, but not all shirts will hit exactly at 2”, they may be off by as much as an inch in any direction. This will not be considered a misprint and My Smart Shirt will not reprint or refund these garments.

Collar & Seam Printing

Although My Smart Shirt works with the latest equipment available, inconsistencies may occur in registration and ink coverage when printing near or over the collar, seams, or any other edges. Any large prints may run the risk of going over the sleeve seam. These are all considered acceptable goods and will not be considered for reprints.

Hoodie Printing

Although My Smart Shirt works with the latest equipment available, inconsistencies may occur in registration and ink coverage when printing over the zipper, pockets, or any other uneven surfaces. My Smart Shirt will not be responsible for these inconsistencies.

Out-of-Stock Items

My Smart Shirt is not responsible for items that are out of stock. While we check items we know to have potential stock issues, all garments are ordered after your order is placed, and we cannot guarantee their availability. In addition, we are experiencing industry-wide supply-chain issues and delays that are outside of our control, and it may cause delays to the estimated completion date of your order. In order to mitigate these delays, we may replace out-of-stock items with comparable brands, colors, or other colors that are in the order. This may be done without advanced notice.

We understand that this can be a frustrating process at times, so if your order needs to have the exact sizes and colors listed, please let a team member know as soon as possible so we can discuss a suitable option that works best for you.

Cancellations & Restocking Fees

Order cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Cancellations will not be accepted for orders that have already been produced (tag removal, printed tags, printing, hem tagging, etc.). For non-produced cancellations, any associated costs leading up to the production of your order will be invoiced accordingly.

Need-By-Dates

My Smart Shirt will do everything we can to meet any must-have date, but we cannot guarantee it. The customer may be responsible for any expedited shipping charges associated with the order. Guaranteed Delivery Dates are available for an additional fee.

Shipping

Wrong addresses or unspecified residences are subject to a $20.00 UPS/FEDEX fee. Shipping insurance over $100.00 may be requested, please include instructions on the purchase order. All other shipments are automatically insured for $100.00. Third-party shipping is subject to a $10.00 UPS/FEDEX fee. Shipping charges are calculated based on the actual weight, box dimensions, distance traveled, declared value and type of shipping service you specify (ground, next day, etc.). My Smart Shirt cannot be held to the shipping charges estimated. Estimates are given per day based on fuel costs. Complete packing and shipping instructions must be finalized 48 hours in advance of your ship date to ensure prompt delivery of your order.

Spoilage

Although our normal spoilage is insignificant, we do allow for: 2% damage, (3% on caps) per location, round up to the next whole piece. My Smart Shirt limits its liability to $4.00 per piece. No credit will be given under any circumstances for errors within the 2% (3% for caps) allowance. Every order, even if the total order is one piece, is allowed one piece of spoilage. All embroidered defects will be discarded unless otherwise requested within ten days from your receipt of the goods. Pieces to be credited must be returned to My Smart Shirt before a credit will be issued.

Pricing

My Smart Shirt reserves the right to change pricing without notice.

Returned Checks

There will be a $35.00 returned check fee.

Garment Disclaimers

GARMENT REACTION TO HEAT – Garments may show imprint “bruising” when exposed to heat during the curing process. Most “bruising” is temporary and the garment should be back to its natural color within a few quick washes. In addition, some garment brands and garments tags will shrink and the tags may even curl when exposed to heat. This is a risk inherent in the nature of the materials when exposed to heat that My Smart Shirt cannot take responsibility for or control. My Smart Shirt also cannot be held responsible for any resulting imprint shrinkage due to this issue. (Including 3D Puff Prints)

DYE MIGRATION WARNING – Polyester, Nylon, Pigment Dyed, Dye Sublimated Fabric, Dye Migration occurs when the dye in the fabric of the garment sublimates and turns into a colored gas. It will then try to escape the garment and can get stuck in the ink that is applied on the garment. It will slowly permeate through and can discolor the ink slightly or completely depending on the garment itself as well as the print process. Darker-colored garments are more likely to migrate (red, blue, black, etc.) Dye migration can appear hours or weeks after the ink is cured. My Smart Shirt uses polyester inks and additives as well as barrier base inks to attempt to lower the chance of dye migration. However, My Smart Shirt cannot control dye migration and the customer must accept the risk of dye migration when printing on these types of materials.

Order Issues

We want you to totally love My Smart Shirt so give us a call, email or send a carrier pigeon with any questions you have about your order. Any order printed differently than the mock-up approved will be granted a reprint of the defective product. If you have any issues with your order such as misprinting claims must be made within 72 hours from receipt of merchandise/order.

Holidays

My Smart Shirt is closed on the following holidays, please exclude these days in calculating production time:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

Conditions

Child Labor – My Smart Shirt does not and will not use child labor. The term “child” refers to a person younger than 15 (or 14 where local law allows) or, if higher, the local legal minimum age for employment or the age for completing compulsory education. My Smart Shirt employing young persons who do not fall within the definition of “children” will also comply with any laws and regulations applicable to such persons.

Involuntary Labor – My Smart Shirt will never use any forced or involuntary labor, whether prison, bonded, indentured or otherwise.
Coercion and Harassment – My Smart Shirt will treat each employee with dignity and respect, and will not use corporal punishment, threats of violence or other forms of physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse.

Nondiscrimination – My Smart Shirt will not discriminate in hiring and employment practices, including salary, benefits, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement, on the basis of race, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, political opinion or disability.

Association – My Smart Shirt will respect the rights of employees to associate, organize and bargain collectively in a lawful and peaceful manner, without penalty or interference.

Health and Safety – My Smart Shirt will provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring at a minimum reasonable access to potable water and sanitary facilities; fire safety; and adequate lighting and ventilation. My Smart Shirt will also ensure that the same standards of health and safety are applied in any housing that they provide for employees.

Compensation – My Smart Shirt recognizes that wages are essential to meeting employees’ basic needs. At a minimum, it complies with all applicable wage and hour laws and regulations, including those relating to minimum wages, overtime, maximum hours, piece rates and other elements of compensation, and provide legally mandated benefits. My Smart Shirt will compensate employees for overtime hours at such premium rate as is legally required or, if there is no legally prescribed premium rate, at a rate at least equal to the regular hourly compensation rate.

Protection of the Environment – My Smart Shirt complies with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Other Laws – My Smart Shirt will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those pertaining to the manufacturing, pricing, sale and distribution of merchandise. All references to “applicable laws and regulations” in this Code of Conduct include local and national codes, rules and regulations as well as applicable treaties and voluntary industry standards.
