What do you do when you need water for cooking, showering, drinking, etc? Turn on one of the many faucets INSIDE your house right?
Yeah, me too but let’s take a second and think about what it would be like to first walk several miles to gather water, in a bucket of some kind, and then CARRY said bucket FULL of water back those several miles. Oh and then you have to somehow make it clean so that you can drink it.
I’ve never been that thirsty in my life thankfully and now thanks to the SERV Well campaign that started in 2014, there is a small desert village in Kenya that won’t have to do that anymore either. They have a brand new well and they couldn’t be more pleased. Just look at those faces!
Here is a note from SERV about reaching their goal and providing this well…
